For our Professional Event you're able to turn security on for your event, limiting access to your content. Our Starter Event does not include event security.
Every attendee who makes use of your event app is required to set-up their profile when they sign-in for the first time. All of this information will be available in your attendee list as and when they compete it.
In “settings” inside the app builder, there is an option to enable event security. It works as follow, if an attendee is already in your attendee list and we can match them via email, they get access to the event. If they are not on the list, they will be prompted to enter an event password to access the event. This event password is displayed in the “settings” tab too and can be updated to a maximum of 10 character password of your choice.
Your event has no security and is accessible by anyone who has downloaded your app and is able to search for your event.
Your event is accessible to only those in your attendee list. The minimum requirement for an attendee on the attendee list is an email address.
Your event is accessible to only those attendees who have your event code. There is no need to upload a list of attendees as everyone with the event code will be granted access to build their own profile.
How to activate event security:
In the “settings” tab inside the app builder, there is an option to enable event security. After you have selected the option that best suits your needs, click on the 'Save' button.
